Our Story
I decided to ditch the dry store-bought kibble and started cooking meals for Toby, our loving and energetic Rhodesian Ridgeback, my entire family noticed a difference in the health of his coat and energy levels. Toby devoured each homemade meal and when Lily (our playful Mini Golden doodle) joined our family and started eating the same fresh food, we noticed a similar marked increase in her energy, skin, and coat.
I shared my experiences cooking for my dogs with friends and family, and though they all were convinced their dog would benefit from meals made from real, fresh food, they shared that they didn't have enough time to make each meal. Cooking for my dogs was time well spent, but even I could understand that not everyone is able to take the time to cook for their dogs.
So, for months I brainstormed how I could make my recipes accessible to all furry friends, and settled on opening a company dedicated to spreading my passion for dogs and belief that all furry friends deserve high-quality food. Together with fellow dog-lovers and pet food nutritionists, I launched Tykes N Hounds to make delicious meals packed with essential nutrients available for all.
Our dogs are a part of our family, and we want to give them nutritious food to fuel them so that when they're on a walk, running around the backyard, barking at squirrels, or catching a ball, they feel happy and healthy.
